general update
not that there's much going on in my life, a whole lot of sunny days and blue skies stretching on until nye, it looks like :D
that's my smug smile...
so yeh. i was sick for weeks, which was not nearly as interesting as it sounds. i hate sleeping on two pillows, but if i didn't of course my head filled with cement and prevented me from breathing. so my neck was permanently cricked at this incredibly uncomfortable angle, and there was, i'm sorry to say, drool involved. yes folks, that's right, i'm not afraid to admit that i drool when i'm sick and asleep. of course, adam had to put up with me tossing and turning, sneezing on him, asking him in that blocked-nose-sick-person's-voise "cab yu bass me the dishues, blease" at 2am, only to discover they were on my side of the bed all along.
speaking of sides of beds, we appear to have done a seasonal shift. not that we have hard and fast 'sides' to the bed, but up until i finished my thesis, i was on the left side and he was on the right for the whole time we have been in this house. apart from nighttime rampages, of course ;)
i think it was because i was reading heaps more and the lamp could only be on the door side of the bed.
but the room is nice and light pretty early now, and there's plenty of little birdies making a racket, and all in all it's a much pleasanter way to wake up than in the middle of winter. though we still have the 2am garbage truck symphony, but hey, seems like some things dont change.
so. was sick, got better sometime last week, and decided to celebrate a la british backpacker style and go drape myself on a beach somewhere. where, in spite of liberal sunscreenings 3 times in 3 hours, i got horribly, painfully, achingly burnt. my back and shoulders look like a map of all the soviet states at the moment, because of how much i'm peeling. icky.
tim is still in italia, anna has come over from california, chris is god only knows where, tessa came back last month and let me know this by seizing me at a madrigal concert at uni and kissing me (yay), kate is going to europe next may, and i need a job.
ta-da!
~se fin (fin) and yes, i know i'm the only one that thinks that's funny
